Who created Adopt Me?
Adopt Me! was created in 2017 by our Co-Founders NewFissy and Bethink.
The game is now run by a whole remote studio, Uplift Games, of which Bethink and NewFissy are the Co-CEOs. There are currently over 60 team members who help to make Adopt Me! the awesome game that it is today!

Is Adopt Me! free to play?
Adopt Me! is a free-to-play experience available on the Roblox platform. As long as Roblox continues to be free as a platform, Adopt Me! will also remain free.
There are purchasable premium items within Adopt Me! available with Robux, however, this is not necessary.
Most areas are accessible within the game without the need to purchase, with the exception of the VIP area which is a private space for VIP Gamepass holders to hang out in however being unable to access this does not restrict gameplay.
How old do I have to be to play Adopt Me?
Adopt Me! is a game available for people of any age to play. We're rated on Roblox as appropriate for all ages.
However, as with any social game, we recommend that any child under the age of 13 play with parental supervision.
When does Adopt Me! receive updates?
Right now we have a weekly update schedule and have successfully made an update to the game each week since this schedule was implemented.
Join the game every Friday to find out what changes we've made. You can check when the update will be released using our Update Countdown timer.
I got this message "The server is closing for an update." What does this mean?
This message means that the game has undergone an update, that the existing server you're in is outdated, and you'll rejoin to the game's latest update.
You can expect this to happen during our weekly updates; however, if it happens unexpectedly, it will occur for major bug fixes.
What languages does Adopt Me! support?
For most languages, Adopt Me relies on Roblox's systems for translations. However, these are automated and the translations can be incorrect at times.
However, we do offer localisation provided by our team for the following languages:
- French
- German
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Portuguese (BR)
- Spanish (LATAM)
If you've spotted a translation that appears to be incorrect, let our team know in the forums and we'll send it to our localisation team for correction.
