Bans
If you believe you have been banned from Adopt Me incorrectly, in error, or that you have good reason to be unbanned, contact Adopt Me support and submit a ban appeal by filing a ticket. Our team aims to respond to you within 72 hours.
How long do I have to appeal my ban?
You have 30 days from the date of your ban to submit an appeal. You’re allowed up to 3 attempts during that time. If you use all 3 attempts or if the 30 days pass (14 days for bans after May 1st, 2026), whichever happens first, you won’t be able to appeal again and your account will remain banned.
Why was my account banned?
In the interest of safety for our community, if a player breaks one of our more major community guidelines with harmful activity, they will have their access to the game temporarily or permanently revoked. If you have joined the game and found that you have been banned, you will have been provided with a ban reason and a ban code informing you of your ban's basis. Sometimes, the reason for the ban may not be exactly what you did wrong, but due to how the bans work, our team will execute the ban with the best matching description. Some reasons we may choose to ban an account are as follows:
- Players who are found to be gambling.
- Players who are found to be cross-trading.
- Players who are caught scamming others.
- Players who are caught hacking others.
- Players who abuse our Support Form.
- Players who abuse exploits and scripts to gain an unfair advantage within the experience.
- Players who display inappropriate or malicious behavior within the experience.
Trade Bans
When the issue specifically involves trading, we may block trading on the account rather than (or in addition to) restricting game access. Cross-trading and gambling are common reasons for this action. If your trading is blocked, you will see: “Trading has been blocked on your account due to illegal trade activity.”
To appeal your trade ban, or if you feel it was unjust, you will need to contact our Support team and we’ll review the circumstances. If your trade ban was temporary, your appeal will automatically be declined. Please wait out the duration of the trade ban.
If you have received a message stating “You cannot trade right now. Please contact Support” please do not worry, you have not been trade banned. This can occur when our system detects an anomaly in your trading activity, and can pick up false errors, assuming you may have duplicated your item. Contact our team and let us know, and we’ll be able to re-enable your trading.
Will you delete my pets because I was banned?
No, we do not remove items from a user's inventory or data as a consequence of a ban. Your items remain stationed in your backpack, even if your account is permanently banned. As we offer users the ability to appeal their bans, especially in cases where the ban was found to be a mistake on our part, it would be extremely unfair for them to return to the game with nothing in their inventory.
We may remove items from your inventory at our discretion, mostly in cases where the reason for the ban is that items were obtained illegitimately, such as duplication or exploiting. We will do our best to notify you of this if this happens to you, such as letting you know when you appeal your ban.
If you have been unable to successfully appeal your ban within 30 days (14 days for bans after May 1st, 2026) or 3 attempts, your account remains permanently banned.
If you’re permanently banned, trades involving your account can be reversed if they’re reported and identified as scams or hacks. Any trade reported through the Trade License system can be automatically reversed if the report leads to a permanent ban. This means that items you received in those trades may be removed from your account and returned to the other player.
Can I get a refund?
No, breaking our Community Guidelines and having your access removed from the game revokes any entitlement you previously had to any form of refund.
